July Favorites and Misses

Here are a number of products I have been loving for the month of July and some other ones that did not work out so well for me. Since this is my first monthly favorites post I will also be including items that I have tried out in the months since I have started my blog!

Favorites

AOA Metallic and Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I have done two posts previously on these products, one focusing on the metallic liquid lipsticks and one focusing on the matte liquid lipsticks. Although I did not get to do a post on how they wore I have been wearing both formulas regularly and they are just as long wearing as some higher end liquid lipsticks and feel so smooth and comfortable on the lips! Another bonus it that they are only $1 US each!! I mean who can really turn down that price for the quality?

Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette

As I mentioned in my post on this product, the shadows are so pigmented and beautiful and they blend out so flawlessly! It is such a creative palette from such a creative up and coming brand and I definitely plan on supporting them in the future too if they keep up this great quality!

Boscia Charcoal Jelly Ball Cleanser

This one may seem obvious to you all as I've talked about how much I love the brand Boscia many times over and my love of weird products, but all that aside this product truly works!! This cleanses my face and removes makeup with such ease without being harsh on the face either. I believe it would work with any skin type and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Boscia Tsubaki Glotion

Sticking with Boscia products and predictability, I mentioned this product in my Top 10 Products for Summer post. This product is beautiful for those days where you want a natural glow to the face and don't feel like piling on the makeup. It is also a light moisturizer so it is perfect for the summer where it won't make you look really greasy like other moisturizers do.

Urban Decay x Jean-Michel Basquiat Gallery Blush Palette

Although I did love this whole collection overall, this product really stuck out to me and is the one I have continued to use most often! The highlight is absolutely beautiful, the contour blends out smoothly so it is not too dark for my pale skin and the blushes are beautiful and are easily buildable! I have continuously been using this since I first purchased it and will continue to use it. My only complaint is that it is limited edition so once it is gone, it is gone for good.

BECCA x Chrissy Teigen Palette

This is another face palette that I have been loving for the last little bit. The highlighters are so blinding and I think they did a great job of creating new shades that are not too heavy for the summer and the formula is pretty hard to top too!

Misses

Salon Grafix Professional Invisible Dry Shampoo

I hate to be so harsh, but I think this is probably the worst dry shampoo I have ever tried. I got this dry shampoo from Ulta a little while back because it said invisible so there would be no white residue like most dry shampoos. The claim to be invisible was true, but whenever I sprayed it in my hair it was so wet and made my hair look even more greasy. When I looked at the directions on the can it said to wait for it to dry... so it is a dry shampoo that is wet, which makes no sense to me. Either way it made my hair look even more greasy than it already was and I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone!

ColourPop Cosmetics Birthday Collection Ultra Glossy Lips

Like I mentioned in my post on the whole Birthday Collection from ColourPop Cosmetics, it isn't the formula that I didn't like about the Ultra Glossy Lips, the formula is really nice and not really sticky like a lot of other glosses. The thing I didn't like from the Ultra Glossy Lips was the finish they had, which was kind of like a frosted look and just didn't find it was very flattering on myself personally.

Models Own Lip Kits

I did a full review on these kits not too long ago and they were not horrible by any means, they are just not something I would ever buy again. The whole process of having a brush and a mixing tray is a little too much for me and they did not last long either. Like I said, not horrible products, but I have definitely tried much better lip products before.

Tarte Cosmetics Tight & Bright Clay Multi-Mask

As I mentioned in my post the other day, I absolutely loved the gold gel mask half of this product, but it is the clay mask that I have the problem with. The clay mask is just a little too harsh for my skin, it is a very deep purifying mask, but it left my skin red and irritated.

Thank you all for viewing my post and I will have another one up for you all soon!!
