Review: Wet n' Wild Cushion Collection

I first saw these cushion colour correctors in Walmart when I went to the states back in April and they have been in the back of my mind ever since. I have been searching for them in the Walmart near me and was not able to find them so I think if you live in Canada you are going to have to order these products online unfortunately. I think what I will do is split this post up into the lip products and the face products to make it less confusing in showing swatches and reviewing the products.

Out of the whole collection these lip products were my least favorite I'd have to say. That is not to say they are bad, but I have tried so many other lipsticks products and I just preferred the face products in the collection better. However, pros for this product is that all of the shades are very pigmented and do not apply patchy or streaky at all! On the other hand, there are a few more cons than there are pros to this product. The first con is that they are not very long lasting, but at the same time they are very creamy and I would not expect them to be long lasting so I am not judging them too harshly on that; however, if you were looking for something more long lasting I would not recommend this product. Another con is where the product is a little thicker and there is only a small hole at the top it is difficult to squeeze the product out. The final con to this product is that there are only three shades so there is not a whole lot of choice and the only shade I can really see myself wearing somewhat often is 'Melon It Like It Is'.

Face Products

For the colour correctors I decided to apply them to only half of my face to see if they really do make a difference. One of the things I really like about these products is that each container shoes on the picture exactly where that colour corrector should be applied!

All four colour correctors applied to half of my face.

After blending out the colour correctors, before applying foundation.

As you can see from the photo above, you can see an immediate difference in the two halves of my face only after blending out the colour correctors alone! Even more boyfriend who is oblivious about makeup said right away that my under eye looked better on the side with the colour correctors. I noticed that my face immediately looked so much smoother and my skin looked so much more even with no redness. These also blended out so easily and smoothly and did not require a lot of effort to blend out.

After applying foundation over top you can really see how much smoother my face looks on the side with the colour correctors.

Applying the contour and highlight

Everything blended together

In terms of the contour and highlight, I loved these products as well. The highlight is more of a natural glow and not a blinding highlight so if blinding is what you are looking for I would not necessarily recommend this. The contour was also very nice for my skin tone and was not too crazy or dramatic. The only thing I really have to say about these two products compared to the colour correctors is that you had to work a little extra to blend these out nice and smoothly.

Overall I think this is a great line and I am shocked that I have not heard more people talking about these products, especially the colour correctors!! Although the Matte Lip Creams were not my favorite thing from the collection, they were not bad by any means and if you think any of those colours would suit you then I say go for it, they were just not a personal favorite of mine. However, I highly highly recommend the highlight, contour, and the colour correctors especially! Plus all items in the collection are between $5 and $6 US, so you really can't get much better than that!

Thank you all for viewing my post and I will have another one up for you all soon!!
